DAY 2 - MT. KILIMANJARO – 9,843 FT (2,700 M)
After breakfast you will be transferred to Marangu Gate where you will be briefed and begin your climb. Today's climb is 3 - 4 hours up to Mandara Hut, about 9,843 ft. The climb will take you through the cultivation zone, where you will see how local farmers manage and produce their goods on the side of the mountain. The climb also takes you through most of the forest. This is possibly the most beautiful part of your climb, surrounded by lush forest and sometimes thick clouds. You will spend the evening at Mandara Hut, where dinner will be prepared for you before you rest.
Overnight - Mandara Hut (all meals & activities)

DAY 3 - MT. KILIMANJARO – 12,140 FT (3,700 M)
Early in the morning you will begin your ascent again, this time to Horombo Hut which is about 12,140 ft. The climb will take about 5 - 7 hours, and takes you through the Moorland section of the mountain. This area contains the most strange vegetation you will possibly ever see, with giant lobelias and senecios surrounding you on your climb. These are in many cases taller than what you are. On your arrival at Horombo Hut, dinner will be prepared for you before your night's well earned rest.
Overnight - Horombo Hut (all meals & activities)

DAY 4 - MT. KILIMANJARO – 12,960 FT (4,700 M)
Today the climb get a little more difficult with your walk up to Kibo hut, which is approximately 4,700m. The oxygen at these altitudes begin to thin out substantially and you will start to feel it. The climb today will be about 5 - 7 hours and takes you through the last part of the Moorland and into the highlands desert. This a barren area of extreme conditions, with temperatures at night sometimes dropping to below freezing point and daytime temperatures being relatively high. At Kibo hut, you will rest, have dinner and try to have a really good night's rest.
Overnight - Kibo Hut (all meals & activities)

DAY 5 - SUMMIT (19,340 FT), Camp at 10,100 FT (4,700 M)
Today is the toughest of all! Very early in the morning, before sunrise you will ascend to Gilmans Point, then on to the summit which is at 5,895m. Although this stretch is only 1,195m it will take you 7 - 8 hours. The extreme conditions make it extremely difficult, but when you reach that summit and have your picture taken next to the sign, you will know that it was definitely well worth it! After reaching the summit, you will begin to descend back down to Horombo Hut. This will take a further 4 - 5 hours, then finally you will have some food and rest.
Overnight - Horombo Hut (all meals & activities)

DAY 6 - MT. KILIMANJARO - MARANGU
Today the mountain is finally yours!! You will have successfully climbed to the top of the highest freestanding mountain in the world, and successfully descended it. Here you will spend the evening, and we are sure, celebrate your victory.
